העובר כאן ישכח Thou Shalt Forget
August 2014
Commemorative installations in Ramat-Gan Museum of Israeli Art.
Four interactive memorials transform the exhibition space into a remembrance space. They challenge the
political character of Israeli commemoration and encourage active participation in the construction of the
national collective memory.
You will encounter here a holocaust memorial in which visitors could add or subtract from the number of
victims; an equestrian statue that no longer holds its horseman but invites the public to climb up and propose
their political gesture; and finally a victory column that oscillates between the pride of the triumphant and
the loss and catastrophe of the defeated.
